A great location to learn and experience the local history of Franklin County
The conococheague institute in mercersburg pa is an outstanding place to learn about the local history. This year they put on some excellent events. My favorite was the pow wow. I know for myself it was very educational and I believe for a lot of other people it was also. I believe that event was held in a very respectful manner. And it seem to have a lot of community support. I've been hoping to make it back for some of the lectures the hold their and other educational programs. I'm just disappointed my schedule hasn't allowed for it. However the first free moment I have that they have an event I will be back. Most of their events are great for all ages. I know my children loved the pow wow.
It looks beautiful on the outside and I heard Quinn Alec Hoover's last eagle scout project was done here.
